Phailbot is a Discord bot designed to notify Discord communities when a TikTok creator posts new public content. The service is intended to help creators increase visibility and engagement through Discord.
Phailbot uses TikTok's OAuth process to ensure creator consent before accessing any data. The app is scoped strictly to access public video information using TikTok’s `video.list` permission.
Upon authorization, Phailbot stores a unique TikTok user identifier (`open_id`) and a refresh token to allow continued access to that user’s public video list. This information is used exclusively to perform periodic checks for new videos. No private data is collected or stored. Tokens are stored securely and never shared or linked to Discord user identities.
If you are the creator of a TikTok video that was posted to Discord via Phailbot and wish to have the message removed, please contact us. Note: we cannot remove content from TikTok, only Discord messages made by the bot.
Phailbot is a non-commercial tool with no ads, subscriptions, or revenue generation. There are no plans to monetize the app.
Phailbot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok or Discord.
All user experience and content remain under TikTok’s control. Phailbot simply posts links to public TikTok videos in Discord channels.
